Inward Discovery (ID) was founded in the summer of 2018 at the home of its Visionary, Reginald Johnson, as a consulting organization dedicated to guiding his peers and the aspiring creatives through challenges of the entertainment industry. The name was inspired by the pursuit of self-mastery and the id theory ---the psychological concept representing the raw, instinctive force of human nature. The ID, present from birth, is the source of all psychic energy and the foundation of personality, driven by instinctive and primitive behaviors . The concept sparked Johnson's mission to cultivate, liberate, and celebrate authentic individuality, which became the organization's guiding mantra.
